THT is a Non-Government Organization, legally registered for the first time in 2009 and the registration has been renewed in 2012 n029/11 to complete the new law number 04/2012 of 17/02/2012 governing NGOs in RWANDA THT is one of the 8 organizations that have came together to create the umbrella organization (NUDOR) THT is the only organization in Rwanda using culture to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities. THT was created in 2004 by persons with disabilities and has 86 members with 49 female and 37 male.
Although well known and well regarded THT is not yet capitalizing on this. It usually only receives a contribution towards costs for performances but does not make any income from performances performed at events organized by other institutions.

Mission
Using theatre and the power of culture to advocate for the realization of the rights and social inclusion of persons with disability.
Objective
Advocating and lobbying for reforms in laws, policies and programs that take in consideration the needs of persons with disabilities in Rwanda in areas of health, education, and socio empowerment.
