THT (Troupe des Personnes Handicapées TWUZUZANYE) uses drama, theatre, and traditional dance to advocate for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Rwanda.
Who We Are
THT is an organization of persons with impairments founded in 2004. We bring together all types of impairments and currently have 86 members 49 women and 37 men working across Rwanda to promote access to services and full inclusion of persons with disabilities.
What We Do
ADVOCACY
Capacity Development
We influence policy-makers to create, reform, and fund inclusive policies that protect the rights of persons with disabilities.
We strengthen the skills of grassroots groups of persons with disabilities to advocate for themselves and their communities.
We promote inclusive education, skills training, and equal access to health and social services for persons with disabilities in Rwanda.
Access to Services
We promote inclusive education, healthcare, and equal access to services.
Breaking Stigma
We use drama, theatre, and traditional dance to break stigma across Rwanda.
Our Impact
Since 2004, THT has grown into nationwide movement of persons with disabilities advocating for inclusion, dignity and equal rights across Rwanda.
